IC Markets

How We Test

The rules behind these 6 pages: our sources, our checks and our commercial disclosure.

FxPro Regulation

The sources behind these pages

The facts here come from documents, not from marketing: the register of Capital Markets Authority (CMA Kenya), governing online forex under the Capital Markets (Online Foreign Exchange Trading) Regulations, 2017. Three licence categories: (1) Dealing Online Foreign Exchange Broker (principal/market maker), (2) Non-Dealing Online Foreign Exchange Broker (STP/agency), (3) Online Foreign Exchange Money Manager. Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) oversees the broader FX market. Register: licensees.cma.or.ke first, then IC Markets's own terms and published fees. We link the register we used (licensees.cma.or.ke) rather than asking anyone to take our word for a licence. Secondary sources - user-review platforms, press reports - are used for reputation, never for figures.

Our commercial disclosure

We earn from partner links. The reader pays nothing more for using one. We are not IC Markets and we do not act for it; nothing here is financial advice. No partner pays for a rating, a placement or a kind word - the assessment is written before the link is added, not after.

How we test what we are told

Nothing goes on the page until its source can be named. An unverifiable number is dropped, not approximated: a missing value costs the reader nothing, a wrong one can cost money. Conditions that differ by country are read for KE specifically, because a global page and a local account are rarely the same thing.

How we handle changes

Every page shows when it was last reviewed, and the underlying KE material was refreshed on 2026-07-07. When the underlying facts change, we change the page and the date with it - we do not quietly refresh a timestamp.

Found a mistake?

Spotted an error? [email protected]. We check reader corrections against the source and fix the page when they hold.

What this site is not

No guaranteed profits, no signals, no 'strategies that cannot lose': that language is a red flag, and we treat it as one. Ratings are not for sale, and documented problems stay on the page.
